May I Borrow $25.00...

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year Old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the Man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an Hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?' The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you Can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then You march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about Why You are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such Childish Frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the Door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little Boy's' Questions.. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After About an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 And he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of The little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' He Asked. 'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been thinking, Maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long Day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you Asked for.' The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some Crumpled Up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get Angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then Looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already Have some?' the father grumbled.. Because I didn't have enough, but Now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an Hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to Have dinner with you.' The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he Begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you Working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our Fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of Your time with someone you love.. If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily Replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave Behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Something To Make You Think...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and
had some items in front of him. When the class
began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and
empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with
golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar
was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and
poured them into the jar . He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the
golf balls. He then asked the students again if the
jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and
poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up
everything else. He asked once more if the jar was
full. The students responded with an unanimous
'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of hot chocolate
from under the table and poured the entire
contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents
your life. The golf balls are the important things--
-your family, your children, your health, your
friends and your favorite passions---and if
everything else was lost and only they remained,
your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your
job, your house and your car.
The sand is everything else---the small stuff. 'If
you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life. If you spend all your time
and energy on the small stuff you will never have
room for the things that are important to you.
'Pay attention to the things that are critical to
your happiness. Spend time with your children.
Spend time with your parents. Visit with
grandparents. Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18.
There will always be time to clean the house and
fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first--
-the things that really matter. Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired
what the hot chocolate represented. The professor smiled
and said, 'I'm glad you asked.'

The hot chocolate just shows you that no matter how full
your life may seem, there's always room for a
couple of cups of hot chocolate with a friend.'

So Dear Friends and family...lets go have Hot Chocolate...or Frozen Mocha's...
Anyone?...

The Law Of The Garbage Truck...

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly

A car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his breaks,

Skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!

The driver of the other car whipped

His head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.

And I mean he was really friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that?

This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call

'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks.

They run around full of garbage,

Full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need

A place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you.

Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave,

Wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage

And spread it to other people at work,

At home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let

Garbage trucks take over their day.

Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,

So... 'Love the people who treat you right.

Pray for the ones who don't.'

Life is ten percent what you make it and

Ninety percent how you take it!
